Matt Dumba leads on and off the ice
On January 28, ACES Athlete Ambassador Matt Dumba achieved an important milestone, becoming only the 9th player in Minnesota Wild history to play 500 career games in the NHL!
In addition to his impressive performance on the ice, Matt is leading the way to fight hate and racism in hockey and was recently recognized by the Chicago Blackhawks for his work with the Hockey Diversity Alliance. Matt co-founded the HDA in 2020 with the mission to eradicate systemic racism and intolerance in hockey and inspire a new, diverse generation of players and fans.

Following the Chicago game, which the Wild won 5-1, Matt reflected, “"Honestly, I was taken aback by it. Just so appreciative and honored. To do this in an away building, in a divisional matchup, huge respect to all the guys over there standing with us and being allies in this fight. Just really appreciative of the support we've gotten. Honestly, don't know what to say. It's a pretty big honor for it to be brought up in the middle of a game like that."
Congratulations, Matt, and thank you for your leadership. Our ACES team is cheering for you!
