St. Paul Saints select ACES as "Homers That Help" Community Partner
ACES has partnered with the Saint Paul Saints for more than a decade to tackle the academic opportunity gap and prepare Twin Cities students for success in school, career, and community. We are honored to have been selected as the Saints’ community partner for Major League Baseball’s “Homer’s That Help” Triple-A initiative.
During the last 10 games of the season — the “Final Stretch” from September 22-October 3, 2021 — Major League Baseball will donate $50 for every home run hit by the Saints, and all Triple-A teams, to the charity of each team’s choice. The club that hits the most home runs during the Final Stretch will earn an additional $5,000 donation from Major League Baseball for their selected charity.
“ACES is proud to stand with the St. Paul Saints in our work to tackle education disparities, and we’re grateful for the club’s continued partnership through the Homers That Help program. After more than a year and a half of disrupted learning, students returning to the classroom this fall need academic and social-emotional support more than ever. As ACES expands to meet this important moment, the Saints are helping unlock our transformative afterschool programming for even more Twin Cities students,” said Christina Saunders, ACES Executive Director.
Students heading back to school this fall need an extra boost, and ACES’s afterschool programming will help them make up missed learning and return to the classroom with confidence. We can’t thank the Saints enough for their partnership, and for helping ensure that all of our Twin Cities students get the all-star education they deserve.
All season long they’ve shook their money makers, now they’re doing it for our Community Partner. Each home run hit over the final 10 games by @jkerrigan8, @ContrerasMark5, @maggtastic7, @franki2998 & the rest of the Saints, @MLB will donate $50 to @ACES4Kids. pic.twitter.com/2kKMGme1zw
