Goin’ Yard for Youth: Treasure Island and St. Paul Saints select ACES as charity partner!

It’s the second year of Goin’ Yard for Youth – an incredible program reflecting Treasure Island Resort & Casino and the St.Paul Saints’s shared commitment to giving back in the community. For every home run hit by a Saints player at CHS Field during the 2023 regular season, Treasure Island and the Saints donate $500 to a local nonprofit organization in support of youth and education.

And for the second year in a row, ACES has been honored as a charity partner for the program. The Saints sure know how to bat – knocking an impressive 24 home runs between July 25th and August 17th! The Saints and Treasure Island generously presented ACES with a check for $12,000 to further our mission of closing the academic opportunity gap.

ACES Board member and Saints Executive Vice President and General Manager, Derek Sharrer, presented the incredible Goin’ Yard for Youth donation to ACES student, Shakeira, and Development Director, Taylor Anderson.

This spotlight on ACES’s work comes at an important time, with Minnesota students needing math and social-emotional support more than ever. This year, ACES is on track to serve more than 450 students across 10 partner schools in Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and Northfield. Thanks to dedicated partners like Treasure Island and the Saints, ACES is starting the 2023-24 school year with a special boost. We are deeply grateful for their continued support and partnership.
